Vrećice za lavandu / Lavender Bags

Lavanda iz mojeg vrta.

Raste u sjeni maslinovog drva,

okružena blitvom i krumpirom.

Lavender from my garden.

Grows in the shade of the olive tree,

surrounded by mangold and potatoes.

Sašila sam jednostavne vrećice

od materijala koji mi je bio pri ruci.

I sew simple little bags

from the fabric I had handy.

Vrećice sam napunila svježom lavandom.

I stuffed the bags with fresh cut lavender.

 

Stabljiku sam odrezala do samog cvijeta.

I cut the stalk all the way to the flower.

Zavezane vrećice sam rasporedila po ormarima.

I arranged tied bags at all wardrobes.

Sad sve lijepo miriše :)

Now everything smells nice :)

Kit za Karla / Whale Pillow

Whale Pillow

Još jedan morski uradak,

ovaj put mali kit. Za velikog Karla.

Another marine-themed pillow,

this time it is a little whale. For a big boy Karlo.

Sliku sam isto pronašla na internetu,

kao i prethodnu hobotnicu,

malo sam je prilagodila dimenzijama jastučnice.

I found this whale image on internet,

just like the octopus I have already shown to you,

I modified it a little bit to fit the pillow dimensions.

Kit ima crnu pucu (botun, gumb, dugme) kao oko.

Whale has a black button as an eye.

Kad sam sređivala slike za ovaj post,

postalo mi je jasno da sam ipak trebala jastučnicu i opeglati.

Uživo mi nije izgledalo ovako zgužvano :)

When I got to edit these photos,

I realised that I should have ironed this pillow case.

It didn't seem so wrinkled in person :)

Oh, well...

Hobotničasta jastučnica / Octopus Pillow

Octopus Pillow

Ljeto je stiglo, nema se vremena kao po zimi,

koristim minute prije spavanja za pokazati neke ljetne kreacije.

Danas je to jastučić na hobotnicu.

Ustvari, jastučića su dva, jedan za Jakova i jedan za Tonija.

Summer is here, I am busy busy busy,

I will be using this minutes before going to bed to show you some summer creations.

Tonight it is going to be this Octopus Pillow.

There are two of a kind, one for a little boy Jakov, another is for Toni.

Vidjela sam jedan lijepi crtež hobotnice na internetu,

precrtala sam ga na papir i koristila kao kroj.

Šablone za slova imam od prije.

Sve sam lijepo izrezala i pripuntala na žuticu.

I saw a really nice image of octopus at internet,

I drew it down on the paper myself and used it as pattern.

Letter patterns I have from earlier.

I cut the fabric and handstitched all parts on canvas.

Sa mašinom sam zašila sve djelove gustim cik-cak bodom

 u odgovarajućoj boji.

I sewed it with tight zig-zag stitches in matching colors.

Ovo je Tonijeva hobotnica.

This is Toni's octopus.

A ovo je Jakovljeva hobotnica.

And this one belongs to Jakov.

I jedna i druga su pokloni za rođendan dragim dječacima.

Both of them are birthday presents to two dear boys.

 

Naš ljubimac Otto / Our Pet Otto

 Ovo je Otto, naš zamorac.

This is Otto, our guinea pig.

Voli biti na zraku kad su dani lijepi.

He likes to be outside at sunny days.

Mačka se misli kako bi ušla u kavez.

Cat is wondering how to get inside the cage.

I što to on jede?

And what is Otto eating?

Da li to išta valja? Ne miriše baš najbolje.

Is it any good? It does not smell at all.

Možemo li biti prijatelji?

Could we be friends?

Navečer se Otto najradije odmara po raznim džepovima.

At evenings Otto prefers to rest a while in various pockets.

Srećom imamo džepove svih veličina :)

Luckily we own some spacious pockets :)

Češnjak - nešto su mu požutuili listovi, plodovi su još dosta sitni,

s obzirom da je posađen na jesen:

Garlic - its leaves turned yellowish, clover itself is quite small yet,

considering that we planted it last fall:

Kapula, crveni luk - nije loš, još malo pa se vadi.
Onions - not bad, soon to be harvested, too.

Pamidore (rajčice, paradajz) odlično napreduju.

Ima puno mlade blitve koja je sama nikla.

Posadili smo i tikve (bundeve).

Tomatoes are doing fine.

There is a lot of young mangold that spead on its own.

We planted some pumpinks, too.

Bazga, posađena ovo proljeće, nema cvijeta, nema soka. Još.

Elder, planted this spring, no flowers yet, no elder juice. Yet.

Žižula (žižola, ćićindula, čičimak, cicindra),

  upravo cvjeta, biti će i ploda :)

Looking at me, you would not know I wear eyeglasses
