How to clean the oven with natural ingredients? / Kako očistiti pećnicu prirodnim sredstvima?
Aj, što ne volim čistiti pećnicuuuuu!
Ne volim i ne volim!
Mislila sam da ću s godinama zavoljeti klečanje na koljenima,
ribanje unutrašnjosti pećnice desnom rukom, usputno lupanje glavom,
udisanje otrovih para, držanje lijevom rukom za radnu ploču
da bi se koliko-toliko održavala ravnoteža.
Ali, ništa od toga :)
Pećnicu koristim vrlo često, ljeti svakodnevno.
Naravno, zna se zaprljati.
Nemojte sad pasti u nesvijest!

Don't like it at all!
I thought I would grow to like it over the years;
kneeling on my knees, scrubbing the interior with my right hand,
banging with my forehead of its top, inhalation of toxic fumes,
while trying to maintain balance by holding on to the counter with my left hand.
But, it did not happen :)
I use my oven very often, during the summer every single day.
Of course it can get dirty.
Don't faint on me now!
Don't like it at all!

Ovako je moja pećnica izgledala nedavno.
Nije baš neka ljepotica, znam.
Imala sam želju pružiti joj pravi spa tretman,
ipak je zaslužila osvježenje nakon pustih sati rada ovo ljeto.

I had a desire to provide it with a real spa treatment,
it deserved refreshment after so many working hours this summer.
I did some research on the net and found out some interesting posts:

And here it is, after a while - good as new!
Odlučila sam se za sljedeće - pećnica se NE grije:
A) 1/3 šalice alkoholnog octa i 1 šalica vode
se stave u raspršivač i obilato se poprska unutrašnjost pećnice i vodilice.
B) 1/2 šalice sode bikarbone i 1/2 šalice soli (koja služi kao abrazivno sredstvo)
se pomiješa i pospe u unutrašnjost pećnice i po vodilicama.
I decided to go for this - oven is NOT preheated:
A) 1/3 of a cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of water
pour into a spray container and spray profusely oven's interior and rails.
B) 1/2 cup of soda and 1/2 cup of kitchen salt (here used as abrasive)
mix together and sprinkle all over the oven's interior and rails, of course.
C) Opet poprskati sa smjesom octa i vode iz raspršivača.
Sve će se zapjeniti jer sastojci reagiraju međusobno.
Pričekati 30 minuta.
C) Spray again with vinegar and water solution.
Everything gets foamy because ingredients react with each other.
Wait for 30 minutes.
Nakon 30 minuta sam spužvom oprala unutrašnjost,
pa pobrisala.
Primjetila sam da je dno pećnice skoro pa dobro oprano,
a to je zato što je većina materijala skliznula prema dolje.
Stijenke pećnice su ostale slično kao i prije.
Možda sam morala malo jače ribati?
Vodilice sam stavila u sudoper.
After 30 minutes, I cleaned the oven with the sponge
and wiped out.
I realized that the bottom is almost well cleaned,
mainly because most of the material slipped down.
Walls remained almost the same as before.
Maybe I had to scrub a little bit harder?
I placed rails into a sink.
Nisam imala limuna kući, ali sam imala limunske kiseline.
D) 2 velike žlice limunske kiseline i 4 velike žlice vode pomiješati.
(Morala sam probati koliko je to kiselo, pukla bih da nisam,
i ispostavilo se da je jaaako kiselo! Morala sam oprati jezik vodom:)
Dodavati sodu bikarbonu žlicu po žlicu.
U prvi mah će doći do reakcije, pa kad se pjenjenje smiri,
dodavati još toliko sode dok se ne naporavi pasta -
otprilike toliko gusto kao na gornjoj fotografiji - loša rasvjeta :(
I din't have any lemons at home at that time,
but I did have some citric acid in powder.
D) 2 big spoons of citric acid and 4 big spoons of water mix together.
(I just had to try how sour that is, I would burst if I didn't;
it turns out that it is VERY sour! I had to wash my tongue with water :)
Add soda one spoon at the time.
A chemical reaction will occur, and when bubbling stops,
add some more soda until you make a paste -
as dense as you can see at above photo - bad light :(
Pastu sam nanijela spužvom po unutrašnjosti pećnice i odmah počela sa pranjem.
I applied the paste with sponge all over interior and started cleaning right away.
Malo ribanja sa spužvom, pa sa žicom.
Scrubbing with sponge at first and with abrasive scrub later on.
Nakon 10tak minuta unutrašnjost pećnice je bila gotova.
Vodilice sam oprala u sudoperu i to samo sa žicom, bez dodataka abraziva.
Pećnica se sjaji, ne smrdi po kemikalijama,
ali grijač i plafon iznad njega nisu dobro oprani
jer mi je pranje tog dijela dosta nespretno.
After 10 minutes the oven was done.
Then I cleaned the railes in the sink using only abrasive scrub.
My oven is shiny and smells fresh.
But the heater and the top above it are not cleaned well.
I find cleaning of that area very clumsy.
Malo mi je nezgodno što sam vam pokazala moju ekstraprljavu pećnicu,
ali, da nisam, biste li mi vjerovali?
Dakle, pećnica se može oprati sasvim dobro koristeći samo
sodu bikarbonu, alkoholni ocat, kuhinjsku sol, vodu i limun ili limunsku kiselinu!
Sretno čišćenje!
I feel a little bit awkward showing you my extra dirty oven,
but, if I didn't, would you believe me?
So, oven can be cleaned pretty well using only soda, white vinegar,
kitchen salt, water and lemon or citric acid!

Ana, ala si je oribla, svaka čast na trudu, a pre svega na hrabrosti... ma šta pričam i ja, svi smo ovde naši ;) Ja ipak ne bih da slikam svoj šporet :)))

DeleteČistu pećnicu ima samo onaj ko je ne koristi :-)
ReplyDeleteI ja sam pristalica prirodnih sredstava otkako sam se zamalo otrovala domestosom kad sam kupatilo ribala pre neku godinu. Strašno sam se uplašila i odlučila da koristim domaće stvari. Moj omiljeni recept je: u teglu se stave kore od limuna ili narandže, sipa alkoholno sirće, odstoji oko 3 nedelje, procedi se i koristi. Čistim i šporet, kupatilo, razne namene ima... a lepo miriše.
i ja koristim nešto slično, baš sam mislila i o tome pisati!
Deletesve se više vraćam prirodnim sredstvima, mogla bih reći iz čisto praktičnih razloga; prošle godine smo renovirali kupatila koja su se renovirala 10 godina prije, i imala sam priliku vidjeti što su (odnosno - JA) agresivne kemikalije napravile odvodnim cijevima.
Ja toliko mrzim da ribam rernu da je to strašno. Prošle nedelje sam to odradila, ali sledeći put ću da probem tvoj recept. Oribala si je za pet! Svaka čast! :D

ReplyDeleteJa ne koristim svoju često a ipak se umulja ko da se prase valja unutra. Nedavno sam ju baš oribala (sa nekim sprejem za pečnice, od kojeg sam se bojala da ću se otrovati) pa mislim da ću idući put pokušati ovu tvoju metodu (bez lizanja limunske kiseline :D )
ReplyDeleteI ja koristim isti princip u cišćenju.Sirće mi je glavni sastojak svega.Kupatilo,lavaboe i kade ribam sa praškom za veš ,poprskanim sirćetom .I sve se sija .Žica za sudove pomogne oko ivica gde se sakupi kamenac.kiss
