Stuffed Apples / Punjene jabuke



Jednostavne punjene jabuke sa višnjama
Easy to make stuffed apples with cherries
 
 
Ova je jesen bila naročito bogata jabukama,
radila sam džem sa jabukama i dunjama,
a posebno sam poludjela za punjenim jabukama!
To radim svaki tjedan, pa i češće od toga,
tako da me moji malo čudno gledaju.
Ali -
slatko je, finog okusa, jednostavno se napravi,
definitivno bez brašna ikakve vrste,
brzo je gotovo, može se jesti toplo ili hladno,
sastojci se prilagode ukusu ili onome što se ima kod kuće,
nije baš kalorično,
odlično paše u hladne dane -
pa zašto se ne bi češće radilo?
 
I odlično ide uz sladoled!
 
 

 
This fall was particularly rich in apples,
  I made some jam with apple and quince,
but I am especially  crazy for stuffed apples !
I prepare it every week , and even more often than that ,
so I get some strange looks from my family .
But -
its sweet , delicate taste , easy to make ,
definitely no flour of any kind ,
it is over fast, can be eaten hot or cold ,
ingredients adapt to the taste or what you can find at home ,
not so many calories ,
great food in the cold days -
so why not more often involved ?
 
And it goes well with icecream!


 
 
 
Potrebno je:
vatrostalna posuda sa poklopcem,
jabuke
 
You need:
casserole with lid,
apples,
 
 
 
 
 1 čaša usitnjenih oraha,
pola čaše višanja bez koštica,
pola čaše grožđica,
nekoliko žlica šećera (ovisno o ukusu).
 
 
1 cup of chopped wallnuts,
half cup of sour cherries without pit,
half cup raisins,
couple of spoons of sugar (according to taste).
 
 
 
 
 Jabukama se oguli koža,
nožem se napravi rupa u sredini,
izvade se koštice.
Ne smije se probušiti dno jabuke.
 
 Peel apples' skin,
use a knife to make a hole in the middle,
take out the seeds.
Do not pierce the bottom of the apple.
 
  
 
 
Orasi i šećer se pomiješaju,
te se stavi žličica te mješavine u jabuku.
Ako treba, malo se utisne prstom.
Zatim se dodaju višnje,
ili grožđice,
ili višnje i grožđice :)
pa opet orasi i šećer,
pa opet višnje itd.
 
Mix nuts and  sugar,
and put a spoonful (little spoon) of the mixture into the apple.
If necessary, press a little with finger.
Then add cherry,
or raisins,
or cherries and raisins :)
and again nuts and sugar,
  cherries again etc.
 
 
 
 
Na vrh se stavi listić maslaca,
ulije se 2-3 žlice vode na dno posude,
poklopi i peče na 180°C otprilike 30 minuta.
 
 
Place a small amount of butter on top of each apple,
pour 2-3 tablespoons of water on the bottom of the casserole,
place the lid on it and bake at 180°C for approx. 30 minutes.
 
 
 
 
 Ponekad će jabuke biti gotove za 25 minuta,
a ponekad za 35 minuta,
ovisno o vrsti jabuka.
Jabuke su gotove kad su skroz mekane,
ali ne previše, vilica mora lagano prolaziti.
Jednostavno se mora probati napraviti :)
 
 
Sometimes your apples will be ready in 25 minutes,
sometimes in 35 minutes,
depending of the sort.
Apples must be soft, but not too muddy,
a fork must slide through it.
But, you gotta try to see how it works  :)
 
 
 
 
Rezultat su mirišljive, mekane jabuke
koje plivaju u vlastitom soku pomješanim sa otopljenim maslacem.
 
The final result are soft and aromatised apples
that swimm in their own juice combiened with melted butter.
 
 
 
 
Naravno, umjesto višanja, koja su moja omiljena kombinacija,
može se koristiti bilo koje drugo svježe, smrznuto ili suho voće.
Višnje daju jednu kiselo-slatku notu,
te perfektnu boju.
 
Of course, instead of cherries, that are my favorite combo,
you can use any other fresh, deep freezed or dried fruit.
Cherries provide certain sour-sweet note
and most perfect color.
 
 
 
 
Najdraže su mi punjene jabuke dok su još vruće,
servirane sa sokom
i sa sladoledom od vanilije.
Njam :))
 
Serve them while they are still hot,
with its own juice
and some vanilla ice cream.

  3. Da, veoma je ukusno, samo što mi jabuke pečemo sa korom. Ok, neprskane su, pa može, ali najčešće pečemo kruške. Posebna vrsta, tzv. zimske kruške. A ovo mi deluje ne samo ukusno, nego i jako dekorativno.
